The Challenge
Once the student group was assigned to the brief, we had a detailed six-month schedule with regular meetings with the project sponsor. My role involved coordinating teams, task allocation and follow-up, ensuring deadlines were met, providing weekly reports to project sponsors, and serving as the spokesperson for my team.
Must have :
Brand identity
High-impact graphical slides (or other presentation materials)
Motion video for presenting the concept, exploring alternative video/podcast formats, value proposition, engaging content
Visual prototype (responsive) of the website with user journeys for managers, CEOs, and HR (pure UX/UI)
Should have :
Presentation website with a communication plan
Social media strategy/newsletter
Visual prototype of the app
Could have :
Platform administration interface
Evolving UX/UI for app format
Lead acquisition strategy
Would be nice :
Forward-looking feature projections
Process
We adopted the SCRUM methodology to ensure agility throughout the project. In terms of organization, I implemented several project tracking tools, including Notion, which was used to compile individual progress, documentation, and the project timeline. We created two communication channels: Slack for disseminating meeting summaries and upcoming sprint objectives, and Messenger for daily communication among students. For each of our brainstorming phases, we used Miro.
Project scope
Naming : Defining brand DNA, Creative Workshops
Strategy : Competitive analysis, target audience study, SMART objectives, acquisition funnel
Branding : Moodboard, a dedicated graphic team for logo creation, co-creation workshops on the visual identity, communication kit
Motion design : Script, storyboard
Prototype : Product backlog, wireframes, website prototype
Solution
In order to achieve our objectives, I had to strike a balance between human resources, time constraints, and each person's skills. The organization in the form of sprints and co-creation workshops played a significant role in the success of our deliverables.
Despite involving 10 individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds, skills, and affinities, we managed to create a cohesive brand identity and project. The project's underlying work required further consideration from the partners, and therefore, it was not as strong as brand identity into the brief's expectations.
Key takeaways
Following the project presentation to our sponsors and the jury, feedback on my managerial approach was overwhelmingly positive. Personal commitment, drive for progress, and adaptability were crucial skills that contributed to the successful execution of this project.
